Metamorph Ministries
Metamorph Ministries, a ministry of Living Hope Bible Church, is about a fresh perspective on God’s work among us. Our Lord is specifically focused on us, personally, the kind of people we are and are becoming. He cares supremely about our growth to become “partakers of the divine nature.” More and more I see this priority on every page of the New Testament and have experienced it in my life. It was confusing at first. I thought God cared about what I do and what I could produce. So I worked hard, as some of you remember.
But our sovereign Lord opposed and placed obstacles in the way until I recognized the way He gets the most glory for Himself and me and the best quality of life for us as His people is through our “progress and joy in the faith,” our growth in character, the fruit of the Spirit. It’s also the way to get the most and best work done for the kingdom and our job of reaching the world with the truth of the gospel. It’s been quite a fight but I have begun to submit to the process of being “conformed to the image of His Son.”

This ministry is about trying to pass along as much as I can of what I have learned and am learning. Please pray for the effectiveness of this ministry and a renewed New Testament, New Covenant focus for the church for which the Son was sent to die. May He live fully in us all as He has longed to for all of eternity. May it happen in our day. May all praise and glory and thanksgiving be to the Almighty Father and His Son, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

About Scottie
Scottie Campbell is the founder and inspirational force behind Metamorph Ministries.
Scottie is a long time small group leader (now along with Jay Long) and currently a deacon with Living Hope Bible Church. He attended Dallas Theological Seminary from 1999-2002 and is a Commissioned Minister with Great Commission Association of Churches.
He has never been in “full time” ministry but has considered himself a full time self supported “domestic missionary,” and servant of others, having turned down opportunities for financial gain in the world to focus better on spiritual things. Desiring full time kingdom work and support for some time, it has been the preference of his Lord that he grow “undercover” in some areas of his life critical to hearing the words, “Well done,” on that day. Moses spent 40 years in the desert on his own before he would say, “I AM has sent me to you.” “I have learned from these difficult circumstances that God is much more interested in who we are than in what we do. I have learned some difficult things about personal growth in character areas like the fruit of the Spirit that others can learn from and that the Church must face, also, to reach the world we live in for Christ. Growing believers will make much more effective workers and leaders and missionaries than those focused on the ‘work’ to the exclusion of needy and often hidden areas in their lives. To be sure, God will ‘work in us that which is pleasing in His sight,’ no matter what, but it will be much more effective and less painful if we understand what He is doing and cooperate with Him instead of fighting Him. I have learned this the hard way.”
Scottie is grateful and excited as God is opening some doors for wider ministry. He looks forward to posting articles and documents he has written, some of these from the days at DTS and various other writing, as well as experimenting with video blogs and seminars of biblical teaching. He looks forward to serving Living Hope Bible Church and other churches, even the Church in general, as the Lord gives grace and power. Following in His steps, one at a time, “The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
Scottie is single and has a sister and 3 nieces, with all their attached relationships. Cousins with all their attached relationships are scattered all over Texas. He, also, has an uncle in Vancouver, British Columbia with cousins from that side (his father’s) in Canada and Florida, with all their attached relationships. “I dearly love my family and am blessed so much by them all!”
I look forward to renewing relationships from the past and regret my absence as the Lord has separated me from many relationships for a time. I look forward to serving the needs of my current friends and church members and new friends as the Lord reaches out in fresh ways. I look forward to more time to teach and write.
More autobiographical papers, written on various occasions, will be posted on this site, see below.
God bless.

More About SFC
The Bible/Scriptures: Every word in the original writings is inspired by God and is without error. It is accurate in all matters to which it speaks, spiritual, historical, and scientific. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the foundation of all faith and practice. They point us to Jesus Christ.
2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Jn 1:1; 5:40.
Nature of God: There is one God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinct in identity and person but of the same nature/essence/substance.
Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6, John 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Acts 5:3–4; 2 Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:2–3; Rev. 1:4–6.
The Father: The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and all authentic believers is the person of the godhead to whom all submission and glory belongs, sharing his glory and nature with the other two persons but being distinct in his function. He is the head of Christ, the one who sent him, and has placed all things in subjection under the control of the Son and given him to have life in himself and to exercise all judgment. In the end, the kingdom will be handed over to the Father and he will be all in all, the summation and apex of all meaning and existence.
1 Cor. 15:23-28; John 5:21–27; 1 Corinthians 15:24–28.
The Son: The One sent by the Father, out of eternity, to redeem mankind through His substitutionary death, paying the penalty for all the sin of all mankind. He laid down His life and took it up again and will judge mankind. Fully deity and fully human, He was born of a virgin through the Holy Spirit and lived a sinless life, ascending back to the right hand of the Father to come again and rule on earth.
1 Jn 1:7, 9; Heb 10:14; 5:22-23; 10:17-18, 30, 38; 1:1, 14; Lk 1:35; 2 Cor. 5:21; Acts 1:9-11; Zech 14:4; Rev. 20:4, 6.
The Holy Spirit: The third Person of the Trinity, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of truth, the Helper, etc, the One designated to be alongside, is the current Presence/Person of God in the world. Especially present in the church, He indwells believers as “Christ in you”, to empower for holy living and service, gifting and composing the body of Christ as He wills.
Jn 14:16-18; Matt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14; Lk 1:35; Heb 3:7-11, Psa 95; Heb 8:8-9; 10:15-17; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13; Gal 5:16-18, 22-23.
Man and Salvation: Mankind was created in the image of God and placed in an idyllic environment with only one restriction. The couple sinned anyway, the woman as agent and the man as responsible. They incurred judgment and separation from their Creator, introducing sin into the world and death through sin, causing more sin. So people die because of sin. Jesus Christ became God’s answer to sin. God sent Him to live among us and die for the sins of mankind, paying our penalty. Now salvation from the wrath of God is available to all through faith in Jesus Christ to all who are born again to share His life, eternal life, and receive Him. He who has the Son has the life.
Gen 1-2; 1 Cor 15:21-22, Rom 5:12; 1 Tim 2:14; Jn 3:14-17, 36; 1 Pet 2:24; Rom 5:9; 3:21-28; 1 Pet 1:3; Jn 1:12; 1 Jn 5:11-13.
Sanctification/Personal Growth and Service: Having been born again by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s purpose and goal for the Christian in this life is to become increasingly like Jesus Christ in divine nature through the fruit of the Spirit. We are to be holy in body and spirit, created for good works. We have been left with one job to do for our Lord. Everything we do is to add up to accomplishing this one job, to reach everyone on earth with the good news of the gospel. However, God’s priority is the body of Christ, to build it. Gifts of special abilities have been given to each believer to serve the church, the body of Christ. People growing in Christlikeness and power are necessary to do the one job. This growth is accomplished by several clear and distinct means. God’s word, the Spirit and faith work together and complement each other. Obedience and suffering round out these 5 principles and serve to keep the process moving and motivated. The process that produces the life of Christ in us is a cycle of death and life that uses the above 5 principles to transform us into people of character, we never were and, without Christ, could never be or understand ahead of time, partakers of the divine nature.
1 Cor 9:23; Col 1:28-29; Col 1:10; Gal 5:22-23; 2 Cor 7:1;Eph 2:10; Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Pet 1:3-4ff; 2 Pet 2:2, 1:4; Eph 6:17; 2 Cor 3:18; 1 Thess 2:13; Rom 12:2; 2 Cor 5:7; Gal 2:20; Heb 4:2; 1 Pet 1:2, 4:1-2; Heb 5:8, 10:36, 38-39; Matt 10:39; Rom 5:3-5; James 1:2-4; Heb 10:14,12:5-11; Rom 6:16; Matt 25:14-30; Lk 6:46-49, 19:11-27; Jn 17:17; 1 Jn 3:2; 1 Pet 1:15.
The Future: The future will consist in the following events: Christ’s Coming for the Church, The Great Tribulation, Two Great Wars, one ending the Tribulation and one ending the Millinium, Christ’s Return to Earth, Millennial Reign of Christ, Great White Throne Judgment, New Heavens and Earth – the eternal state.
